History

247 Equipment Company, Inc was started in 1982. At the time it was mainly a distributor of products and equipment to the pipeline construction industry. We are located in Eighty Four, PA which is 30 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. We ship equipment, supplies, rentals and repairs all over the United States and worldwide. We expanded our sales force to include industrial sales, utility sales, pipeline sales, municipal sales and other general sales. We have broadened our product lines to reflect the on-going needs of our customers. Part of this was done by taking on new product lines during the past five years. Additionally, in 1997, we acquired certain assets of another company whose sales and expertise was in the cathodic protection end of the market associated with utility companies and pipeline companies. Specifically we have improved on our environmental line of products since we believe that these products are now an integral part of any construction job. We have also expanded our customer base. The majority of the products that 247 had traditionally supplied to its customers, are now being used by both old and new customers whether they are pipeline, distribution, utility, highway work, general contracting or other industrial construction. By expanding these markets, it has given us the ability to purchase products at more economical prices which have been passed on to you, the ultimate customer.		Our inventory includes over thousands of different items in stock at any given time. Also, we handle approximately 6,000 items on a routine basis serving each customer's special needs. Additionally we have successfully automated our order entry and inventory system to give you the quickest response in regards to product availability and pricing. 247 Equipment has always had a great reputation of servicing the customer. While our business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM five days a week, 247 Equipment Company prides itself on having a 247 Equipment employee on call during closed hours for an emergency situation. Should an emergency arise, you can rest assured that you are only a few minutes away from talking to one of our employees who is on call - "24 Hours a Day - 7 Days a Week". We have now been able to expand on that reputation with a staff who is even more qualified to meet your specific needs. Our staff will continue to give each of you the best service they can. Most orders can be shipped out the same day that they are placed. Delivery service continues to be available on select orders. Also, with today's more efficient transportation companies, next day deliveries at reasonable costs are now the rule rather than the exception for a major portion of the eastern United States.
